Rev. DeWitt Chappell, Jr.

Pastor DeWitt Chappell, Jr. is the third child of the late DeWitt Chappell, Sr and Annie Chappell. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Cleveland Public Schools.
Rev. Chappell received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Cleveland State University. He currently served as the presiding Pastor of the Everlasting Missionary Baptist Church, which was founded by the late Rev. M. Leroy Smith. Rev. Chappell served as an Associate minister of Omega Baptist Church from 1983-1993 the under the leadership of Bishop Benjamin G. Finney. He was ordained by Pastor Finney in 1985. He also served as Pastor of the Pine Grove Baptist from 2017 - 2020. Pastor Chappell served as past Moderator of the Progressive Baptist Association. He is currently 1st Vice President of the Ohio Baptist State Convention. He also served as instructor of the Boys Division and Co-teacher of the Laymen's Division of the Ohio Baptist State Convention Congress of Christian Education. |
